I was looking forward to the weekends with much anticipation as there was a secondary sch gathering. Gosh…it’s been more than 10 years since I last saw my classmates…wonder how’s everyone been these years.

Miss Clarity Cafe. Venue correct. 12 noon. Time correct. I took a deep breath before stepping into the place. And I spotted a familiar face. Hey, BW’s still the same…didn’t change after all these years. It took him a while before he could recognise me.

Then, the rest came…and guess what? It was easy recognising them as they didn’t change much…still the same face I knew back then. Even for those who changed (size-wise), it wasn’t a drastic change.

I soon became the ice breaker for my ex-classmates. Many had a difficult time guessing who I was. It then dawned upon myself that my appearance had indeed changed.

“I remember you used to wear specs mah…”

“Yaa…guai guai one”

“Like书 生 lor…”

“Your face like become sharper leh…”

“Waah…Now so fit…”

“Hey, you sure you are my classmate or not?”

I had a good time fielding questions and answering them. Yes, I am still the same old me…Don’t worry. Appearance size, I think I have indeed changed. Looking at the old sch photos and comparing them to me now, I like the present me better. I went from cherubic to scrawny and now just above average (must be modest…hahahaha)

After having a good laugh, we lauched into the Q&A sessions….where are you working now? Married already or not? Got kids or not?

In fact, we were so engrossed in talking and catching up rather than ordering the food.

All of my classmates are doing well. I’m happy for all of them And, I hope it’s not going to be another 10 plus years before we meet again.
