Haircut
I used to dread it as a child and would wail louder than a fire engine but not anymore. In fact, I look forward to cutting my hair every month.
Trust me, it’s really therapeutic. A good hair cut makes you look younger, fresher and more alert. And for some, a hair cut is significant of a brand new beginning as you snip away the past. I heard about this one from a friend who went for a hair cut immediately after the relationship ended. And when she emerged from the salon, her long tresses were traded in for a chic bob cut.
It won’t be long before I need to go for another hair cut. Blame it on my hair which grows so fast. I think it has to do with my durian theory. Truth has it that when my mum was pregnant with me, she ate heaploads of durians…that’s why my hair is so thick and black…and now I steer clear of durians like the plague.
And when I need to cut my hair again next month, I don’t know what to experiment with. First, it was having the conventional slope. Feeling bored, I kept a short tail, then I allowed it to grow longer…and also allowed the rest of the back of the hair to grow long…Then I did the japanese straight perm. Last night I walked away with a swallow back…err…what’s next?
Beats me. But that’s not going to be my headache but the hair stylist’s one…Everytime I sit on the chair…my instruction is simple: Just give me a hair cut which looks good on me and suits my facial structure. There’s only one contention I have to bear in mind: do I want a hair cut which would make me look more man or a hair cut which will enhance my boyish features?
The most in hair cut may not be suitable as you may not be able to carry it off but a good hair cut does go a long long way.
