Takeoff Flight

Looking at the view from the plane window,
buckled, I wait in anticipation.
As scenes flash by, I say one last goodbye.
With craft body in full transit, it sprints.
It speeds forward and soars into the skies.
Heaven only knows my adrenaline
forming an uplifting, wondrous feeling.
No more worries, they’ve all been left behind.
I’m like a bird who’s found its long lost wings
in the comfort arms of the clear blue sky.
Embrace once more in utter pure delight.
It’s a sense of complete liberation.
From way up here, this is my vantage point.
Seeing the world, I glide, I soar, I fly.
