Change

And in the dark it sings softly to me,
taking me back to where I long to be -
the days of my childhood so young and free,
playing good old fun games under the tree;
caring not if heaven or hell collides,
thinking of how the joy never subsides,
no cause for fear, no need to think too much.
But as they say life must go on, it’s such.
The pace today I feel is just too fast.
No time even to make friendships that last,
I may know you but I know not your name.
I must harness my own potent domain.
So what if I’m engulfed by all this fame?
Deep down I know I am never the same.
